I am working on creating a series of brochures describing where to find good places for birdwatching in the different parts of the Hunter Region. For some of the brochures it has been me who has done most of the developmental work but, wherever possible, I am tapping into local experts and helping them to generate the basic content. Then Rob Kyte, who is an amazingly talented graphic designer, turns the raw material into an eye-catching product. The aims of the project include: to stimulate local interest in birdwatching; promote the Hunter Region to visiting birdwatchers; raise awareness within local government circles about the potential for bird-related ecotourism.
